The Editorial Committee of Teacher Educators’ Society of Nepal (TESON) calls for original articles to be considered for publication in its upcoming issue of the Journal of TESON (Volume 4, No. 1) to be published in 2025. The journal accepts scholarly articles written based on empirical data, conceptual or theoretical concerns, and professional learning experiences, specifically related to the broader areas of teacher education. The potential authors/contributors are required to strictly follow the guidelines suggested by the Editorial Committee for consideration for publication. To improve the quality of the scholarship, the publication adopts a double-blind peer-review process. Therefore, the authors are requested to strictly consider the guidelines (both general and formatting) before the submission of their original manuscripts.


A. General Guidelines
• The manuscripts should be related to, but not limited to, the issues of education in general and teacher education in particular. The authors are encouraged to submit manuscript that cover the following areas of inquiry with a particular focus on Nepal.
o Initiation teacher preparation: Curriculum, pedagogy and assessment in general as well as in subject-specific domains
o Assessment practices in teacher education
o Teacher professional development
o Teacher well-being
o Action research
o Teacher beliefs and teacher attitudes
o Education leadership and management
o Teacher training
o Education policies and teacher education
o Transformations in education
o Mentoring and supervision
o Other relevant issues of education in general and teacher education in particular
• The articles should be original contribution to the field of teacher education, which should be professionally relevant, and intellectually engaging.
• The articles should be an outcome of a scientific study contributing to the theoretical and/or practical aspects of Teacher Education or implications to teacher education.
• Empirical data-based articles should explicitly mention the research design, the methods used, and the analytical framework adopted, supported by appropriate and necessary referencing from the established methodology resources.
• Each initially processed submission will be followed by reviewers’ comments on the manuscripts. However, initial consideration for publication based on one or more rounds of comments/revision of• The authors must submit the revised draft(s) within the deadlines as provided (see the timeline for publication process below). Late submission, at any stage of the review process, will NOT be considered for publication.

B. Timeline for the publication process

5. Deadline for submission of the revised manuscript July 15, 2025
5. Notification of the decision on acceptance/rejection August 15, 2025
6. Publication of the Journal September 30, 2025


C. Formatting guidelines
• The entire manuscript, including the abstract, the reference list, and any tables or figures and their captions, should strictly follow the APA style (7th Edition). The authors are requested to refer to the APA Manual for the details on in-text citation and referencing. For quick access to the general referencing styles, the sample references are provided at the end of this guideline. Failure to maintain the prescribed standard guidelines will disqualify the paper for consideration for the review process.
• In case of the Nepali language subjects, please follow the established guidelines in practice in Nepal.
• The manuscripts must be written in English, except those in Nepali language related subjects and issues.
• The manuscript should not exceed 8000 words (excluding references and appendices).
• The manuscript should be typed in Times New Roman, 12 font size, with double space, and printable in A4 paper. A complete manuscript should be sent as an e-mail attachment in an MS Word file.
• If the manuscript includes any special fonts (for the subjects such as mathematics, sciences, and any other subjects if relevant), please send the fonts attached along with the manuscript.
• If the manuscript includes any tables then they should be numbered with an appropriate title, and the figures should be provided with a clear and concise caption.
• Footnotes must be avoided, instead, Endnotes can be maintained.
• All articles should include the following sections/components in general. However, the additional sections (if required) can be considered as judged by the respective reviewer(s).
• Title: No more than 12 words
•• Keywords: No more than five words
• Introduction (Context, problems, objectives, significance)
• Literature review: (if applicable with brief sub-headings)
• Methods
• Findings (Results and discussion)/Discussion of findings
• Conclusion
• References
• Appendices (if any)
